L.table in Taman Pelangi offers a laid-back dining experience that leans into a diverse menu with both familiar local flavors and international influences. Positioned on Jalan Serampang, this multi-unit spot feels spacious yet cozy, with cool, modern decor that balances a relaxed vibe suitable for families as well as casual groups. It’s particularly accommodating for those visiting with children, offering sofa seating and a welcoming atmosphere that makes it easy to settle in for a leisurely meal.

The menu highlights dishes like truffle mushroom bisque, seafood risotto, Hainanese chicken rice, and an array of pastas and fusion options, suggesting a fusion-styled casual dining focus rather than strictly traditional fare. The servings tend to be generous, with some dishes paired with hearty portions of sides like fries, making it suitable for diners looking for comforting, satisfying meals without pretense. While some dishes come across as reliably good, expect a few inconsistencies in flavor or seasoning based on recent feedback — particularly with chicken dishes. Those who appreciate subtle truffle notes or smoky grilled seafood will find some dishes catering to that palate.

L.table’s atmosphere fits well for weekend brunches or casual dinners. The space works nicely for groups ranging from families to friends looking to catch up in a relaxed but thoughtfully styled setting. The presence of a bakery downstairs adds a local touch for those who want to finish with a sweet treat like pineapple cookies or ice cream, suggesting this is a place locals might visit not just for main meals but also for a casual afternoon bite or coffee paired with a light dessert.

Service, meanwhile, tends to be a strong point here, with attentive staff aiming to accommodate preferences and seating arrangements, although there have been rare occasions where customer concerns weren’t fully addressed. The overall vibe and consistent willingness to reserve preferred seating reflect a focus on comfort and familiarity, especially for returning guests.

For visitors or locals scouting spots in Johor Bahru, L.table offers a reliable pick for those looking to enjoy a variety of flavors without fuss, in a setting that blends casual dining with family considerations. Its best times to visit might be late mornings through dinner, especially when looking to unwind in a friendly, unhurried environment where you can linger over a cappuccino latte or sample several dishes from the all-day menu deals.

The L Table is my favourite dining place as the food here is superb and it is so children friendly.. I always make reservations before I come and the manager will give me a seat with sofa, good for my 3 sons.. The portebello mushroom burger is a classic for me, the best part is it comes with fat portion of fries. Basically we love everything here. Now they have whole day set menus, good deal.. Will definitely come often

My first visit was great, the service was impressive and the food was good, except for the tasteless chicken in the kampung fried rice. Unfortunately, my second visit was off, the food tasted average and the recommended free-range chicken was again tasteless and undercooked, so i didn’t finish it! When I brought it to the waitress's attention, she seemed unmoved.

Pleasant time here. If I would choose a word for their selling point, it'd be their service and atmosphere We got the chicken chop, bechamel salmon pasta, calamari, mushroom croquettes, truffle mushroom bisque, hazelnut chocolate brownie, iced latte and honey green tea. It started strong with a tasty mushroom bisque that arrived at the same time. Then came the appetisers which were crisp, but unfortunately a tad bit too chewy for the calamari. The mains were alright. *edit* I think some of their dishes don't do the rest of the menu justice. I've initially given a lower rating on the food based on the mains - it tasted alright, but nothing spectacular. However I wrote this review prior to trying their dessert. Their brownie cake was not just a spectacle to see, but also a lovely gastronomical experience. The tartness that was contrasted with the rich dark chocolate and the dense chocolate brownie (almost fudge like). To be fair, I wasn't too amazed by the mains, but the dessert itself deserved a good rating. *Edit 2* another pleasant surprise, we were offered a free peach mille-feuille for a birthday celebration! I did not make this booking for a birthday, nor did we sing happy birthday loudly the first time round, but the staff came in towards the end to offer us an additional dessert with a candle atop it. #Ltablefeast

Nice food and cosy ambience! The place has a different vibe and cool decor. The Cajun chicken pasta could’ve used a bit more flavour, but it was still nice overall. Overall, the food tasted good and prices were fair. There’s a bakery downstairs too, we tried their pineapple cookies and ice cream, both were really good! Worth checking out if you’re in Johor.

Ordered 1. Cajun chicken pasta (36rm): creamy, flavourful but not overwhelming 2. Char kuey teow with grilled squid (35rm): squid was grilled with a smoky taste. Char kuey teow taste great 3. Truffle mushroom bisque (22rm): thick mushroom bisque but very small hint of truffle taste. (Note that there is a post and tag promotion from nov'25 to jan'26. 2nd main course 50% off) Notwithstanding the foregoing, the food reviews are based on honest views. May return again even without the promotion. 10% service charge applicable

Stopped by L.Table for lunch, and wow, it was great! The place has a relaxed vibe which really sets the mood for a good meal. We ordered the Wagyu Beef Burger, it was massive and so juicy! Tried the Big Breakfast, and it didn't disappoint. It’s a full plate with all the breakfast must-haves. Oh, and don't miss the Lemongrass Chicken Wings! They were crispy, juicy, and had this awesome lemongrass kick. Overall, L.Table is a great place if you want tasty dishes with a chill atmosphere and friendly service.

We celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary at this restaurant, and it was truly a memorable experience. The restaurant’s design is beautiful, cozy, and thoughtfully arranged, creating an intimate and relaxing atmosphere that is perfect for special occasions. The warm lighting and tasteful décor made the evening feel even more special and comfortable. For the food, I ordered the Cajun Chicken Pasta, which was rich and creamy, with a perfectly cooked chicken cutlet on top. The chicken was incredibly juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside, making the dish very satisfying. My husband ordered the Authentic Tomato Fried Rice, which was full of flavor. The sambal complemented the dish well and was not overly spicy, making it enjoyable to eat together with the chicken. We also tried the Lemongrass Chicken, which was equally impressive. The chicken was very juicy, flavorful, and crispy, with a lovely aromatic lemongrass fragrance. We were pleasantly surprised when the restaurant served us a complimentary mille-feuille to celebrate our 2nd anniversary, which was a thoughtful and generous gesture. The service was exceptional throughout the evening. The staff were attentive and professional, always refilling our drinks before they were empty. They also kindly helped us take photos and greeted us with warm smiles, which added a personal touch to our dining experience. Overall, our dinner here was wonderful, and we truly enjoyed every aspect of the experience. We highly recommend this restaurant for both special occasions and casual dining.
